Some Good News About Alternative Cancer Treatments
I applaud celebrities who speak up / out on topics in their fight to help others with info that they have gathered on their particular journey. Today, I applaud Ms. Suzanne Somers in awakening thousands of people to alternative cancer treatment selections while going through her share of criticism. She was misdiagnosed over 12 months ago which caused her search for cancer cures with both alternative and conventional doctors. She wrote about it in her most recent book, ‘Knockout : Interviews With Doctors Who Are Curing Cancer and how to forestall Getting It In the first Place.’
“In KNOCKOUT, Suzanne Somers has interviewed doctors and medical professionals using everything from alternative to integrative to conventional methods to combat cancer. Whichever path you choose, this is a must-have resource to navigate the life and death world of cancer and increase your odds of survival, plus vital information on how to prevent what will soon become the world’s #1 killer.”
There are those in the medical profession who mock the very mention of alternative cancer treatments because the FDA does not approve ( which fundamentally means they can’t profit ), and are fearful that folk may really be active and check out all options just as Ms. Somers has done. She has come out and presented options rather than the standard conventional care of chemo, radiation, surgery and drugs prescribed in after-care. I notice that a doctors standard presentation of care are those that have been established by the medical community and backed by insurance and even court remits, but it’s good to grasp that more people in the medical field also realize the options don’t end there. Patients and doctors should consider all valid treatments for not only cancer, but all prolonged illnesses.
Since the medical community is supported by pharmaceutical grants, it might be a conflict of financial interest to listen, much less advocate natural health products. It appears to me that with all of the billions of dollars that have been allotted for cancer research, until they find a cure, then patients are owed the truth as to all that’s available with typical and alternative maybe collaborating. After all, isn’t the goal to find a cure, not to just keep the donations coming?
